Save the date
invitations have become very popular over the last several
years. These invitations are a quick and simple way of telling your future guests that your wedding will
occur on a specific date in the near future. In today's busy world, it is often difficult to remember
important dates of events when scheduling a monthly calendar. Send these out when the date is a popular
weekend during the year for weddings and or your other plans (place. time, etc) are still being
finalised.
Ensure that your guests will remember your wedding date by sending
out a modern or classic personalized save the date card approximately 6-8 months before your wedding. The
wedding invitation design can have unique color combinations and patterns or pictures that will set the
tone for your special day. These can be funny and whimsical or classy and formal. Remember it's your wedding, so be
creative.
Don't include your wedding RSVP information yet, that will be
included with your wedding invitations. Just send a save the date card to let busy family and friends
know that your special celebration will soon be here. Some even make them into magnets so that they can be placed
on refrigerators.
Save the date cards are not as important if all your relatives and
guests live in the same town. However, in our modern mobile society that is usually not probable. Giving long
distance family and friends the opportunity to learn of your special day way in advance, lets them know you really
want them in attendance.
Again, have fun with this. You may want to even include your
future husband in creating yoursave the date
invitations. Okay, let him think he's involved at least.
